Right next to the biggest ocean in the world, the Pacific Ocean, is Hualien, a beautiful area with an abundant amount of coastal landforms.
One of the many attractive beaches is Qixingtan Scenic Area.
Qixingtan Scenic Area, located on Xingchen Town, is the only country level scenic area in Hualien.
It is a famous landscape that all travelers should visit.
Qixingtan (七星潭) literally means seven-stars POOL, but in reality it is a crescent bay.
It is not a deep pool or a lake, so why it is named Qixingtan?
Qixingtan was actually named Yueyauan (月牙灣) (meaning 'crescent bay') before.
The original Qixingtan was near Hualien Airport, which is next to a number of lakes.
The Japanese wanted to fill up these lakes for developement. Therefore, they moved people of Qixingtan to Yueyauan.
Those people called Yueyauan, Qixingtan. As a result, an arc bay was then named Qixingtan.
Qixingtan Scenic Area has few light pollution and suits to watch the moon and the stars.
It was said that people can clearly watch the Big Dipper so here was called Qixingtan.
It is also a good place to watch sunrise.
Not only tourists but also local people like to go to Qixingtan Scenic Area.
They do nothing. Just relax and appreciate.
Watching the white spray and waves forward and backward.
Steping on azure water of Pacific Ocean and splashing water to each other. THE BEST RECREATION IN SUMMER!

It suits for family.
It also suits for sun bath. Haha~ My friend was secretly taken a photo by me. 
I love beaches, love seas, and love the spacious feelings.
Watching the spacious sea, even the small-mindedness widens.
It was said that "If you feel blue, you should watch blue.
Just like combating poison with poison, watching sea really makes blue moods away."
The beach of Qixingtan was not consisted of sand but pebbles.
It is clear and doesn't dirtied foots but I feel a little pain when climbing a gentle slope.
Beautiful Qixingtan Scenic Area.
Star-Gazing Square. Sometimes, there are some activities and performances here.
Qixingtan Bike Trail provides a very comfortable place for people to exercise.
Sometimes, away from the hustle and bustle of big city.
